test
Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle vented his frustration after his side’s goalless draw against Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium.
The match was one of few chances, and Coyle’s side failed to majorly test Chris Kirkland in the Wigan goal, in what was a battle between two of the league’s relegation candidates.
However, despite Wanderers failure to score, Coyle felt his side had the better of the chances at the DW:
“I don’t think it was a 0-0 game, I thought we had the best chances on the night and another day could have won the game as opposed to leaving with a point.”
Unlike rival manager Roberto Martinez, Coyle didn’t feel that the state of the pitch at the DW had an impact on his team’s performance:
“I don’t think it’s ideal, certainly for the level we are all involved in, but ultimately both teams have to get on with it,”
Tonight’s draw leaves Bolton sitting in 18th place, just one point behind Hull City, although Wanderers have a game in hand over Phil Brown’s side.
